Important Notes

    1. Welcome aboard the Drew Carey! We hope you enjoy your time today!
    2. Please review all safety materials before you leave. Ask the dock workers any questions that you might have.
    3. Waivers – Before you leave all party members will need to sign a waiver. Please scan the QR code on the back of this page to access the waiver.
    4. Safety equipment is located under the seats. Please check before departure.
    5. To call bridges – Please use the handheld radio and tune to channel 16. When approaching the bridge you will call out the name of the boat, the bridge name and request that you would like a lift. You will encounter two bridges on your tour today
      1. North Coast Harbor Pedestrian Bridge
        1. Call Out: “North Coast Harbor Pedestrian Bridge, this is the Drew Carey requesting a lift outbound.” (Say “inbound” when you are returning)
        2. Wait for response – if not response you can call the bridge at 216-664-3247
        3. Always thank them for their time. “Thank you for the lift North Coast.”
      2. NS1 (train bridge to enter or exit the flats)
        1. We can only receive time estimates at this Bridge. If you listen to the radio you might overhear other boats asking for the timeframe.
        2. Call Out: “NS1, this is the Drew Carey requesting a timeframe on the next lift.”
        3. Wait for response
  • Docking – You may dock at any legal place to dock. Have a friend help you so that you do not damage the dock. Good spots to dock include the East Bank of the Flats and Merwin’s Wharf. We do not recommend docking at BrewDog. Remember to take it SLOW.
  • Freighters – Watch out for freighters. Do not pass any freighter. If one is coming toward you TURN AROUND. If you are unable to turn around, get to the side of the river immediately and look for a safe zone. Please check the map for the safe zone guide. Failure to yield correctly may result in fines from the Coast Guard, injury or death.
  • Damages – You are responsible for any and all damages to the vessel while it is under your control.
  • Swimming – No swimming or anchoring permitted
  • Issues / Emergencies – Please contact us immediately at 440.941.6690
