Cruise Coordinators

The BrewBoat’s Cruise Coordinators assist the Captain in the safe and courteous operation of BrewBoat CLE and perform regular customer service activities during BrewBoat cruises. Cruise Coordinators are responsible for keeping the boat in a clean and safe condition, ensuring guest satisfaction, and assisting customers on and off the boat.

This is a seasonal position, running from mid-May to October 2022.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist the Captain to ensure the safe and courteous operation of the boat.
    • Assist riders of the BrewBoat on and off the boat.
    • Maintain the vessel in a clean and organized manner as directed by the Captain.
  • Help maintain the dock and surrounding area as directed by the Captain.
  • Welcome and check-in passenger groups as they arrive.
  • Represent BrewBoat Cleveland in a fun, polite and professional manner at all times.
  • Keep direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and the public. Respond to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be aged 21 or older.
  • Basic boating experienced preferred.
  • Basic safe boating knowledge preferred.
  • Mandatory Drug testing enrollment required.
  • Must have a good driving record (less than six (6) active points on driving records at the application stage of the hiring process) and possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond to an emergency situation, and follow the direct orders from the Captain.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation with the ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.

WAGE: $15 per hour, plus tips (Tips usually range from $50-100 per day!)
HOURS: Full-Time: 32-40 per week / Part-Time: 12-24 per week, dependant upon booking capacity

Dock Directors

The BrewBoat’s Dock Directors are our land-based customer service specialists, responsible for checking-in and boarding guests, answering calls and texts, and helping with docking as the BrewBoats depart and return from cruises.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Welcome and check-in passenger groups as they arrive.
  • Assist the Captain and Cruise Coordinator with the boarding process.
  • Assist riders of the BrewBoat on and off the boat.
  • Assist with departure launches and return docking.
  • Help maintain the dock and surrounding area as directed by the Captain.
  • Check in guests to rental boats
  • Clean and prep rental boats in between guests
  • Represent BrewBoat Cleveland in a fun, polite and professional manner at all times.
  • Keep direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or apparent.

  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Basic boating experienced preferred.
